Our team is small by design.

We believe families deserve familiar faces, personalized attention, and the comfort of knowing exactly who is caring for their child at every visit. Each member of our staff plays an important role in creating a supportive, welcoming experience for families in Teton Valley.

Jessica Maddox, MD PhD

Pediatrician

Our pediatrician leads the practice with a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. With 10 years of experience caring for children from newborns to young adults, she takes time to listen, explain, and partner with families through every stage of growth. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of North Carolina Asheville in 2004. For her medical education she earned an MD and PhD in molecular biology from the University of Utah from 2007-2015. She trained specifically in pediatrics for her pediatric residency at the University of California San Francisco from 2015-2018. She has since worked as a pediatric hospitalist caring for newborns and children requiring hospitalization in Boise until she moved here to start Teton River peds.

Ruby Clift, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Our speech-language pathologist believes every child deserves a way to communicate, and brings a steady commitment to helping kids build the skills and confidence to communicate, eat, and participate fully in everyday life. With over a decade of experience in pediatric speech and feeding therapy, she takes time to connect with children and partner with families through every step of their progress. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, both from the University of Montana. Since moving to Teton Valley in 2014, she has provided speech and feeding therapy through outpatient and early intervention services, working with children with autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs, and pediatric feeding disorders – with a special focus on helping families build safe, successful mealtimes – before joining Teton River Pediatrics.

Missy Sturk, MS, OTR/L, ASDCS

Occupational Therapist

Our occupational therapist supports children with a wide range of physical, developmental, cognitive, and sensory challenges that affect their ability to play, learn, and participate in daily self-care activities. She uses a relationship-based, play-based approach centered on regulation, body awareness, and foundational skills, partnering with families to help children build confidence, independence, and joy in everyday life. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, then spent 10 years in early childhood education as a preschool teacher and program director before earning her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 2009. Since moving to Idaho in 2010, she has worked in early intervention, pediatric home health, outpatient pediatrics, and school-based practice, and has completed additional post-professional training to earn her Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) credential – further expanding her expertise in supporting autistic children and their families – before joining Teton River Pediatrics.

Medical Assistant (MA)

Our MA provides hands-on support during visits, offering gentle, child-friendly care to help little ones feel comfortable. Whether assisting with exams, preparing for procedures, or offering a reassuring smile, their goal is to help each appointment go smoothly.

Receptionist

Often the first voice you hear and the first face you see, our receptionist welcomes families with warmth and clarity. They support scheduling, help answer questions, and make sure each visit begins with a positive experience.
